We began our partnership with 1-800 RID OF IT in September 2008. Mike McKee approached us and agreed to plan for a regular pick up day for us every month but it has turned out to be much more than that. In addition to those dates, his crews have brought us many truckloads of excellent furniture that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill. This furniture then furnishes homes for clients like those living at BC Housing properties. It makes a big difference for a non-profit like HomeStart, operating with a very small budget! His people are a pleasure to work with - from Wendy setting up pickups and deliveries to the crews, who are always timely, courteous and helpful! We are really grateful for our association with 1-800 RID OF IT as a partner in our mission, “Furnishing Homes, Rebuilding Lives”.

It was a pleasure working with the 1-800 RID-OF-IT Junk Removal during the Christmas in August campaign. The 1-800 RID-OF-IT team was able to deliver over 1000 items to our food banks.
